Designer terms

How you earn from your designs on Guild Press. These terms are part of our Terms of use.
1. Royalties
- You earn a royalty on every confirmed sale of a product carrying your design: a percentage of the price the buyer paid for that item, not counting shipping.
- Your percentage depends on your tier (from 5% to 10%). The rate is fixed when the order goes to print, so a later tier change doesn't change royalties you've already earned.
2. Tiers
Your tier depends on how many confirmed sales you have in total.

When you reach a new tier, the new rate applies from your next sale.
3. What counts as a confirmed sale
A sale is confirmed when all of these are true:
- the buyer has paid;
- the order has gone to print (after the buyer's 12-hour cancellation window);
- it has been delivered and 7 days have passed since delivery;
- the item hasn't been refunded and there's no open problem report on the order;
- it isn't your own purchase. Buying your own designs never earns a royalty or counts towards tiers.
Until then, a royalty shows as pending on your earnings page. Once confirmed it becomes payable.
4. Payouts
- We pay by UPI, by hand, once your payable balance reaches ₹500. Payouts are usually sent within 7 days of being created.
- Add your UPI ID and the account holder's name on your earnings page. After your first payout, changing them needs a confirmation link sent to your email.
- You'll get an email with the UPI reference when a payout is sent. If it doesn't arrive, write to support@ulki.in with that reference.
5. Refunds after you've been paid
If an item is refunded after its royalty was paid to you, we add a negative adjustment for that amount to your ledger. It comes off your next payout.
6. Fraud and abuse
We may withhold or cancel royalties on orders that look fraudulent or abusive, for example fake or self-arranged orders made to inflate sales. If royalties on such an order were already paid, they come off your next payout.
7. Taxes
Royalties are paid in full, without tax deducted. You are responsible for declaring your earnings and paying any income tax or other taxes due on them.
8. Your designs
You must own the rights to everything you upload, and you keep ownership of your designs. See section 3 of our Terms of use for the rights you confirm and the licence you give us.
9. Changes and contact
We may change rates, tiers or payout rules with notice on this page. Changes never reduce royalties you've already earned. Questions: support@ulki.in.
